Vivanto produces the live events of the Purple Festival at the Palais Galliera – Musée de la mode de la Ville de Paris.

On the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary, Purple Magazine is organising for the first time a festival at the Palais Galliera, from 1 to 9 October 2022.

The Purple Festival is an unprecedented event, imagined as a festival of artistic encounters that opens up a new space for discussion on art, fashion and the avant-garde and their evolution and transformation over the past 30 years. It brings together some fifty participants who have contributed to the magazine, whether they are artists, photographers, writers or philosophers.

The Purple Festival is not conceived as a retrospective, but as a series of events combining artists’ meetings, conferences, concerts, and performances that will take place every afternoon for 10 days in the heart of the great gallery of the Palais Galliera. It is presented as the realization of a live magazine and will be a unique opportunity to bring together the creative community of Purple who share, across artistic fields, a radical artistic vision.

The Purple Festival is organised around a central stage set in the middle of an exhibition offering a live experience of the magazine and bringing together fashion photography, posters, paintings, video and sound works. The whole event is filmed and replayed in the exhibition each morning.

This event will be published as a supplement to the next issue of the magazine.

The Purple Festival produced by Arter and Vivanto is an integral part of the Palais Galliera’s exhibition programme and is supported by Chanel.

Free and open access to the Purple exhibition.
